Who We Support
Phoenix House is semi-independent accommodation for 16-24-year old’s who are Children in Care or Care Experienced Young People, who are looking to build on their independence and transition from a children’s home or foster care environment. The overarching goal to live autonomously and provide high needs support to our residents to enable them to achieve this.
Phoenix Independence is an independent organisation supporting young people to maximise their potential and strive to achieve their individual aspirations. We provide a positive, nurturing, safe environment for them to grow and develop, whilst transitioning into young adults.
We recognise support is required to empower individuality and the need to feel secure enables young people to develop life skills, build resilience and feel motivated to successfully progress into independence.
Our flexible and holistic approach to support young people to develop their own personalised ‘tool kit’ to enable them to create coping strategies, take positive risks, form, and maintain healthy relationships and boundaries, and sustain a positive emotional and mental wellbeing.

A sense of belonging and positive self-esteem is generated through exploring and making sense of their identity, by using sport, culture, and artistic activity.
Young people develop their emotional, intellectual, social, creative, independent living skills and interests. A sense of belonging and positive self-esteem is generated through exploring and making sense of their identity, by using sport, culture, and artistic activity. Young people are encouraged to volunteer, attend college, or work, and aspire for a positive future. They develop new hobbies and interests, leading to a growth in social skills and confidence.
